Creativity and 'doing justice' rarely come together. But I believe that nothing works better than telling a story in a way that directly touches the heart.
My name is Hanna van der Horst. It has my heart to create and realize projects that result in people taking action to see justice worldwide. I prefer to use a lot of creativity to address issues and to show what possible solutions can be offered. That is why I design concepts, programs and content for events with a mission.
Especially in these times it is desperately needed to tell stories that connect and touch us. It is so important to really see one another. With an event (and that can also be done through online forms) you can give people a sense of togetherness and encourage them to do justice.
I worked in the music- and theater industry for several years and then switched to work with media- and video companies.
I discovered that expressing a story with creative disciplines caused the message to reach the audience so much deeper. Only when it touches us, it sets us in motion.

Nothing is more powerful than an encounter! Because that's what an event is. In no other way can you create togetherness and a sense of community as well as with an actual happening.
A participant becomes involved with your organization and the mission when they can literally be with you.
Hearing, seeing and feeling information through creative arts can lead us to find keys together on why and how to fight poverty and injustice. It will trigger a movement of people longing to see change.
Sometimes change starts close by, in your own environment, by doing something in the neighborhood. Sometimes we make a bigger impact, by influencing political choices for example, or breaking through an (economically) unjust system.
